Jazz Blowers meet next on Tuesday 22nd May @ 7pm-9pm in the Art room (first floor ) at Hurworth Grange Community Centre.
New players are welcome to come along and sit in for one session free. Please email using the link provided if you are intending to come along.
Jazz Blowers is a weekly gathering of wind players who have a passion for modern jazz. This friendly and informative group meets every Tuesday 7pm-9pm at The Hurworth Grange Community Centre, 41 Hurworth Road, Hurworth Place, Darlington, County Durham DL2 2BN.
Jazz Blowers is open to any brass and woodwind players regardless of ability who want to improve their improvising skills.
All music is provided along with the backing tracks you need for private practise.
Jazz Blowers have regular Jazz evenings using a live rhythm section (Piano,Bass & Drums) to back the soloists. These nights offer the participants the opportunity to play live and gain confidence in front of a friendly receptive audience.
Course leader Steve Bone has a very positive and encouraging outlook towards helping each musician develop their creative playing.
Steve has been a professional musician for 25 years, working in bands playing woodwind (saxophone,clarinet & flute).
Steve also works as music teacher in North Yorkshire, County Durham & Cleveland.
Steve teaches LCM grades 1-8 and the higher diploma levels on Sax, Clarinet & Flute.
Steve holds the following qualifications,
CTABRSM, Cert GSMD & LGSMD.
Each 2 hour session costs £6.00 which is payable termly in advance.

Jazz Blowers Summer term starts Tuesday 24th April & ends Tuesday 3rd July 2012 with a break for half term on Tuesday 5th June for one week only. The Summer end of term concert will be held on Tuesday 19th June venue to be confirmed.
